Arctic Summer · June — August
Summer Rewilding
A participatory Arctic rewilding week — sailing, glaciers, mountain camps and food pulled straight from the sea.
6 nights · 7 days · From Tromsø · 6–8 guests · Jun–Aug
A summer week from Tromsø into the Lyngen Alps region, aboard a catamaran that becomes a mobile basecamp — sailing between remote island anchorages, glacier tongues, waterfall valleys and mountain camps under a sun that refuses to set. This is not a sightseeing cruise. You trim the sail, walk the ice, pull dinner out of the fjord, and — if you choose — sleep on a summit above the water while the boat lies at anchor below.
How the week builds
From the coast, up to the ice, above the fjord.
The week widens as it goes. It begins on a remote island shoreline, moves into deeper fjord systems, onto the glacier, and finally above the water on a mountain camp — until, by the end, the boat, the mountain and the sea all feel like one continuous place.
- Day 01
Arrive
Board in Tromsø, safety briefing, then a short sail (about 22nm) to a remote anchorage at Rebbensøya. First wood-fired beach sauna and, if you choose, an Arctic swim. Dinner on the shore or on board.
- Day 02
Summit camp
A day ashore around Rebbensøya — grounding exercises on the coast, a paced ascent through open Arctic terrain to a summit or sheltered high point. Camp under the midnight sun, dinner cooked in the field.
- Day 03
Fjord passage
A long sailing day (about 45nm) through interconnected fjords toward the Slettnes / Skipfjord area — wildlife on the water, sailing participation where you want it. Fishing, shellfish gathering and an open-fire dinner on shore.
- Day 04
Glacier
An early departure into the Lyngen Alps and a guided walk on Steindalsbreen — an easy 6.5 km approach, then geared up onto the ice with the crew. Recovery evening back on board.
- Day 05
Waterfalls
A shorter sail south into the Djupvik region. Waterfall hikes, freshwater pools, light coastal exploration, and sauna onshore if conditions allow. Dinner on board.
- Day 06
Beach day
Anchor in a quiet West Lyngen bay with a beach and river mouth. Swimming, snorkelling with wetsuits, light hiking or a day on deck — the lower-intensity day of the week. Final expedition dinner on the beach or on board.
- Day 07
Return
A leisurely return passage back through the fjords to Tromsø, arriving no later than 16:00 for onward travel.
Weather writes the final draft. The route stays responsive to wind, sea state and glacier conditions — the experiences are fixed, the exact order is not.
Signature moments
What the week is made of.

Onto the glacier
Steindalsbreen, reached by boat and foot — crampons, harness where the ice demands it, and a guide at the front and rear of the group.

A night on the summit
Carry your kit up, help set the camp, cook over fire, and fall asleep with the fjord glowing below in a light that never quite goes out. Fully optional — your cabin is a short descent away.

Catch to plate
Fish the fjord, gather what the shore offers, then watch a professional chef turn it into dinner — with you at the board.

Hidden waterfalls
Hikes into valleys no road reaches, and swims where the water finds you.

Midnight-sun sauna
Wood-fired steam on a warm shoreline, a swim in a fjord lit like late afternoon at 1am, and back to a boat that never really needs a lamp.

Hand on the wheel
Line handling, sail trim, and time at the helm under a crew that keeps the vessel in their hands.
Made for mixed groups
Three ways into every day — pick yours as it comes.
Every day runs on a three-tier participation model — a full version, a lighter version, and a full basecamp version. Rope up on the glacier or take the shore walk and the sauna. Sleep on the summit or sleep in your cabin. Trim the sail or read on deck while the crew handles the passage. Solo travellers, couples and families with teens all share the same week — no guest is ever excluded from the experience, only redirected into the version that fits them that day.

The vessel as basecamp
A mobile basecamp for a moving landscape.
Home for the week is a 2024 Lagoon 51 catamaran — spacious, quiet, and made for long summer days on the water. It acts as a mobile basecamp: carrying you between glacier, mountain and fjord, then becoming the anchorage you climb back down to at the end of every day.
More on the boat →Who leads it
Small crew, deep experience.
You travel with the Ferreira brothers, Cruise and Storm — between them, 40,000+ nautical miles under sail, formal Arctic outdoor and survival training, professional cooking, wildlife photography, marine safety and crisis certification, and years of field guiding in Africa and the Arctic. On a summer week that mixes sailing, glacier travel and mountain camps, that range is exactly what the days ask for.
